Chapter 9 Persistence

Samuel and Janet Stokes

In 1972 I graduated from high school with 2 years of training in Electricity from vocational school. My Desire was to become an electrician but when I went to the Alabama State Employment Office they tested my eye-hand coordination and told me I could not do that for a living.

They did not know or care about my desire. I went through several jobs as just regular labor. But long story made short for about 10 years I did become an electrician in a variety of fields. I had a natural ability of problem-solving which helped me to be a good troubleshooting maintenance electrician during most of that time.

I am now strengthening my Why and Janet and I are working on our Relationship Building business together. We both have a natural personality for truly wanting to help others, to believe in them until they can believe in themselves.

Anyone who has a strong enough desire and in willing to PERSIST until they succeed can be successful in this business. Thank you Michael, Linda, Mike and this awesome team for being here for us all.

PS- My Dad made fun of the fact that I was in Network Marketing back in 1987. In spite of his and many others opinions, after 14 attempts Janet and I will persist HERE till we succeed. NOW we know the TRUTH and we know that it will set us, our kids, and future generations FREE!
